An online marketplace for energy jobs
A niche job market platform isn’t so niche when the industry demand is one of the largest in the world. MyStreamJob was designed and built from the ground up with the objectives of turning heads to make a big initial splash, and provide an abundance of features with added horsepower at a low cost to sustain rapid growth.
A stack to handle huge demand coupled with features and progressive concepts to attract growth and investors.
Fundamental design aesthetics to speak to the market. Reach out to transcend politics of the day. Make a shoestring budget look like a million bucks.
Tapping into nearly a dozen 3rd party job listing APIs plus cross-referencing native MyStreamJob job listings with featured and promoted listings, all with the directive of providing job seekers and recruiters the very best, timely, and relevant results.
Being a newcomer to two vast industries (job boards and energy) with no shortage of titans, and slim resources required surgical and nimble user acquisition strategies across multiple avenues including traditional, social media, paid search, and old school boots on the ground sales hustle.
Years before current day job boards made names for themselves as the one-and-done solutions to search and apply to jobs across multiple fractured job listing services and websites, MyStreamJob launched with one-and-done search and submission features to nearly a dozen APIs of the biggest individual job platforms for energy related careers. The job seeker and recruiter analytics tools provided never before offered visual transparency for users.
MyStreamJob was a bootstrapped feature rich venture. While big box job platforms like Monster held investor meeting unveilings for search bar redesigns which lasted 3 quarters and the bandwidth of a dozen in-house designers and engineers, MSJ was entirely designed, engineered, and deployed within 2 months at the hands of two team members and zero initial seed investment.
